CEDAR PARK, Texas. (February 8, 2024) - Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is delighted to announce the resounding success of its third annual Women and Heart event, held on Friday, February 2, 2024. This year's event, on National Wear Red Day, brought together over 250 women from the community, showcasing the dedication and commitment to raising awareness about women's heart health.
The Women and Heart event served as a platform to educate and empower women, shedding light on the unique risks and challenges they face related to heart health. Attendees were treated to educational presentations and inspiring discussions by speakers, Geoffrey Crimmins, M.D., a board-certified interventional cardiologist at Austin Heart - Cedar Park, and author Kristin Armstrong, who captivated the audience with their knowledge and insights.
Dr. Crimmins shared invaluable information about the signs, symptoms, and prevention of heart disease in women. His expertise and commitment to women's heart health resonated with attendees and highlighted the importance of early detection and intervention.
Kristin Armstrong, author and motivational speaker, delivered a powerful presentation on the significance of self-care in maintaining heart health. Her inspiring stories and guidance prompted reflection and encouraged women to prioritize their well-being.
