Cedar Park Regional Medical Center Names Sean C. Tinney, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer

Cedar Park, TX -- Cedar Park Regional Medical Center has named Sean C. Tinney, FACHE, chief executive officer (CEO), effective January 22, 2024. With a proven track record of success and extensive experience in healthcare management, Tinney brings a wealth of knowledge to lead the 126-bed hospital and its network of clinics, emergency department, freestanding emergency room and imaging centers.
Tinney has been serving as the chief operating officer at Medical West, an affiliate of UAB Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, since 2013, a 310-bed hospital that includes 17 hospital owned clinics, a freestanding emergency department (FSED), an imaging center and an ambulatory surgery center. Under his guidance, Medical West achieved strong improvements in operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Recognized as one of Becker's Hospital Review's Rising Stars - 25 Healthcare Leaders under 40 in 2015, and one of Modern Healthcare's Up and Comers for 2013, Tinney has demonstrated strong leadership throughout his career and has broad operational experience in physician recruitment, service line development and expanding access to services. Prior to his role at Medical West, he held positions as the president and chief operating officer for Ascension St. Vincent's East in Birmingham, and as the president of Rural Hospital Operations for Ascension St. Vincent's.
Tinney will bring his strategic vision and leadership to drive the hospital's growth and commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the community.

Tinney has a master's degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor's degree in health services administration from Auburn University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been an active member of several community and civic organizations.
