Cedar Park Regional Medical Center Honors Physicians on Doctors’ Day with Donations to Local Nonprofits
3/31/2025
Cedar Park, Texas – Cedar Park Regional Medical Center celebrated National Doctors’ Day 2025 by donating $3,000 each to the Parks & Trails Foundation of Cedar Park and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center. The contributions were presented on Friday, March 28, during a check presentation ceremony at the hospital, where representatives from both recipient organizations and hospital leadership were in attendance to commemorate the occasion.
This marks the third consecutive year that Cedar Park Regional Medical Center has honored its physicians through charitable giving in lieu of traditional Doctors’ Day gifts. The chosen nonprofit organizations align with the hospital’s and medical staff’s shared commitment to addressing social determinants of health in the community. By supporting local groups that promote wellness and provide critical services, the hospital extends its caregivers’ impact beyond the hospital walls to improve community well-being.
The Parks & Trails Foundation of Cedar Park, one of the donation recipients, is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting community health and wellness through the preservation and enhancement of local parks, trails and outdoor spaces. By advocating for accessible, safe and vibrant green spaces, the foundation encourages outdoor recreation and an active lifestyle, contributing to both the physical and mental well-being of area residents.
Similarly, the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center provides critical support and advocacy for children affected by abuse. The center offers a safe, child-friendly environment where children and their families receive counseling, forensic interviews, and other services at no cost. By helping young victims of abuse heal and find justice, the center addresses a crucial community need and fosters a safer, healthier future for some of the most vulnerable residents.
National Doctors’ Day is celebrated annually on March 30 to recognize physicians for their contributions to individual lives and society. The observance began in 1933 in Winder, Georgia, and was officially designated a national day of recognition in 1991. Cedar Park Regional Medical Center embraces this occasion as an opportunity not only to thank its physicians for their dedication, but also to amplify their impact through community philanthropy.
“Our physicians give so much of themselves to care for this community, and we are proud to honor them in a way that extends their impact beyond our hospital’s walls,” said Sean Tinney, chief executive officer of Cedar Park Regional Medical Center. “By supporting organizations like the Parks & Trails Foundation and the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center, we not only thank our doctors for their dedication, but also help strengthen the community we all serve. These donations are an extension of our hospital’s and physicians’ commitment to improving health beyond the bedside, reaching into the everyday lives of our neighbors.”
